Charles practices in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, personal injury law, constitutional law, and appellate litigation. Before joining the firm, he was an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Hardin County, Kentucky, where he litigated a wide variety of criminal cases from investigation through post-conviction proceedings. He successfully obtained multiple felony jury verdicts as first chair trial counsel on behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. During law school, Charles served as a judicial intern for the United States District Court and on the Editorial Board of the Kentucky Law Journal. He currently represents for-profit and nonprofit corporations as well as individual clients in state and federal courts in Kentucky, and in appellate matters before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
